Dating apps can be an unexciting place to find the right one for you.
People swipe endlessly and chat with someone but it is difficult to find the spark of true love.
But one man doesn’t want to compete with other guys anymore so he decided to develop a dating app that is different from ones like Hinge, Tinder, and Bumble.
His app, Singularity, allows women to sign up but the only guy allowed is the developer.
31-year-old Aaron Smith, who said he is tired of competing with other men, told WFMY CBS: “The biggest problem with the other apps is that my face is not featured prominently.
“If life gives you lemons, you should first make lemonade. Then make sure no other companies can produce or distribute their own soft drinks. So the only game in town is lemonade.”
Aaron’s Singularity app even released a promotional video to attract women.
His friend, Scott McDowell, says this could also change the game of dating apps. “All of us who have done online dating in some sorta way can all relate to the fact that it really does sometimes suck.”
The app is still in its early days but Aaron says that there are already many applicants.
“Hopefully it will give people a chuckle about just the absurdity of what we’re reduced to as a society,” he said to CBS.
