A man has revealed that he was invited out on a date by the same woman who used to bully him because of his weight.
As 26-year-old Anthony Bayer who used to weight 346 pounds back in high school admitted, he was struggling to fit in his clothes before losing over 130 pounds.
According to the man from Gold Coast, Australia, his self-confidence hit an ever-low when he was pranked by a woman who promised to go to prom with him. After turning up at her home to pick her up in a brand new suit and a limo, the girl said it was all a joke and refused to go with him.
Years later, that same woman picked interest in Bayer who managed to shed the extra weight and carve out his body thanks to his dedication and countless gym visits.
“I didn’t know how to eat properly and didn’t care. I was addicted to fast food. I never thought about my health until my doctor said I was about to get diabetes. I broke down in tears and realized I needed to change my life,” Bayer said in an interview, recalling his past way of life.
“I stopped eating fast food and began cooking for myself. I also stepped foot into a gym for the first time back in 2014 and haven’t looked back.”
While his bully’s offer to go out with him sure was a surprise, Bayer claimed he didn’t go out with her or even bother replying to her because of what she had put him through.
“I hated myself and never thought anyone could love me. All I wanted was to have a partner and family, so that really motivated me to lose weight,” he added.
“I was always rejected and would get laughed at when I approached girls. But now women are asking me on dates all the time. I went from having three matches on Tinder, to now having over 1,000 matches with girls. It’s crazy.
“Then about a year ago, that same girl who was so cruel to me before our school formal, somehow got my number through my Instagram page and sent me a text apologizing for being a bully and asked if we could go on a date. I couldn’t believe it and didn’t even reply. I’ll forgive, but I would never forget.”
