Do you have a pet? What kind of pet do you have? A dog? A cat? A rabbit? Or a fish?
How did you first meet your little friend?
Here is one unusual story of how a man first met his pet. Jeff Longo met his little fur friend three years ago when he was walking the street.

He was minding his own business while walking down the street, and all of a sudden he saw a tiny creature in front of him. It must have had fallen from the nest and it was not in good condition, so he brought it to his house.
When Longo first found the creature, he did not even know what it was so he went online to find out. The tiny creature was a female southern flying squirrel.
Longo named her Biscuits and cared for her with all his heart.
Many people did not think that she would survive because she was so tiny and a flying squirrel is not a common animal to grow domestically.
However, Longo did not give up. He cared for her all the time and fed with the bottle of a combination of puppy formula and heavy cream.
He researched for the ways to care for the wild animal and succeeded in saving Biscuits.

Even though it’s uncommon to have a wild animal as a pet, orphaned squirrels are not uncommon because of traffic and predatory animals.
But fortunately, people like Jeff Longo help these animals in need.
Finally, Biscuits opened her eyes. As Longo cared for her with love, she gained her strength. He brought her everywhere he goes, even to work.
Biscuits also has established a special bonding with him because he was the only family she has known.
She has grown to a three-year-old squirrel although she was few centimeters long baby, when she was found under the sun.

She also has some interspecies step-siblings at home.
“She runs around me like I’m a big tree, then jumps on things and then jumps back,” Longo says.
Biscuits can’t go back to the wild because of her upbringing but she already has a loving family.
Longo says that it is hard to raise a flying squirrel because she’s small and flies but he never regrets the decision to take her home three years ago.
They are already a perfect family!
Longo says, “I’m stuck with the little fluffball,” but he is happy to have an amazing little family, Biscuits.
You might want to keep your eyes on the street when you walk. Who knows? You might meet a cute little family!
