28-year-old Stuart Cook farted in a police officer’s face during a strip-search and asked: “How do you like that?”
The thug was at the scene of a car crash when cops approached him.
After officers ‘smelled cannabis’ and decided to arrest him, Cook became ‘irate,’ the Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard.
Officers searched his vehicle before he was arrested. Cook ‘puffed out his chest towards officers’ and ‘screamed expletives’ while he was being driven to police station.
When they arrived, cops conducted a strip-search and Cook was commanded to bend over.
Depute fiscal Lucy Simpson described what happened during a hearing. She said that the 28-year-old “deliberately farted in the direction of the officer three times, stating, ‘how do you like that?’”
Cook previously pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis. In addition, he pleaded guilty to behaving in an abusive or threatening manner by screaming and shouting aggressively, making a lewd remark towards cops, displaying aggressive body language, and ‘intentionally flatulating’ in the direction of police.
Defense solicitor Laura Gracie said Cook had been involved in a minor traffic accident. “He felt police overreacted in the way they dealt with him.
“He became increasingly upset with them and acted in the manner libeled.”
Sheriff Ian Wallace ordered him to carry out 75 hours of unpaid work.
One internet user commented: “The judge should have sent him to prison for a year and said “How do you like that?””
Another wrote: “police should have stepped back shouted stand clear, tasered him in the back of the head, beating with a rubber hose, wash down with iced water then hung upside down in a sewer for a month.”
A third said: “No respect why does that not surprise me, send him down long time.”
