A man named Marc Headon from Gainsborough, Lincolnshire jumped into a freezing canal to save drowning deer at the risk of his own life.
The 27-year-old man was filmed rescuing the deer and his colleague Jamie Toyne pulled out the deer when it was reached onto the bank.
Mr. Toyne who is also from Gainsborough filmed Mr. Headon’s brave act of rescuing the deer and uploaded the video on Facebook.
He said: ‘’Madness just driving past the canal in Saxilby, and saw some ears in the water.’’
‘’We got out and saw it was a baby deer struggling to keep its head up. It was seconds away from drowning must have been in there for hours. Marc jumped straight in and saved it.’’
The video has gone viral and has been viewed by 600,000 people with thousands of comments and likes.
The clip starts with Marc Headon is swimming in the canal to rescue the baby deer and his colleague Mr. Toyne is encouraging him.
He then gets succeed in saving the deer and pull it out. Mr. Toyne stops filming as he had to help his friend in pulling out out the deer out of the water.
It then shows Mr. Headon warming up the deer as it is shivering.
The workman helped them to put the deer in their van and they didn’t know the exact location of deer handlers so, they decide to take him to workman’s friend’s house.
After an hour, the deer was rescued and men received a call telling that they ‘saved the deer’s life.’
Many social media users praised Mr. Headon and filled the comment box with positive comments.

Mr. Headon told about the incident and how they saved the deer.
He said: ‘’It was just struggling to swim and keep its head up. I didn’t really think about it I just jumped in. The water was freezing.’’
‘’It was good to save a deer it makes me feel really proud. We actually thought it was going to die as it was shaking and couldn’t get up onto its feet.’’
‘’It was just exhausted. It was just shivering all the time. We couldn’t leave it for a second as we were worried it would wake up and run onto the road after I carried it up the side of the bank.’’
