A New York man has gone viral following a series of successful dates that started after he managed to get the phone number of a stranger he saw across the street amid lockdown.
Refusing to give up on the dating scene while forced to stay indoors, 28-year-old Jeremy Cohen sent his drone to the rooftop of a building across the street in an attempt to get a response from the girl he saw dancing.
After sending his greeting along with his phone number to the stranger from the neighboring building, Cohen received a pleasant response from the woman named Tori who decided to text him.
“I can’t believe this actually worked and yes this is a real story,” the man said in his first video.
Fortunately, the romance didn’t stop after their first text.
As Mr. Cohen revealed in his subsequent clips, he had a long-distance date with Tori, whereas the pair simultaneously ate their dinner at their respective places, a balcony and a rooftop, while talking to each other via their phones.
Following yet another successful date, Cohen decided to spice things up and surprise Tori in person – all while respecting the rules of self-isolation.
And so, the 28-year-old bought a zorb ball and rolled over to see Tori in person and go for a short walk with her.
After his clips went viral, the man admitted he’s looking for more ways to have a virtual date with Tori and urged people to help those in need during the pandemic.
“So I went kinda viral today but there’s a real virus that is actually affecting a lot of people’s lives sooo while I try to figure out how to have an virtual date with this girl here’s a few ways you can help: 1) Helpmainstreet.com 2) Feedingamerica.com,” he expressed.
