A man who has a huge growth on his neck has shared how he had the lump for more than 11 years before he finally decided to have it checked.
Thankfully, the man known only as Zee was told that the growth was not life-threatening and he will finally have it removed.
“Okay, meet Frank,” he said in a TikTok video. “So, Frank has been with me for the past 11 and a half years, since June 2009.”
He further said: “He started off really, really small, but then just grew and grew and grew and then last year just went out of control.
“The reason why I didn’t get it sorted thus far is mainly because of fear. Two fears, actually.
“One, my fear of operations. Two, in case it was – yeah – worst case scenario. Of course I did try to get it sorted last year, early last year, but – erm – we all know what happened, don’t we?
“Anyway, after the lockdown happened I went to get all the tests done and everything – it is benign.”
Zee continued: “Also, by some miracle I am a very healthy human being. I don’t know how.
“And, as for my fear of operations – yes – this is going in 10 days, so on the 14 January I’m finally getting my operation done.”
Zee’s Twitter bio reads: “What is it? Pleomorphic Adenoma. When’s surgery? TBC. Hard or squishy? Yes.”
Pleomorphic adenoma is a benign salivary gland tumor, also known as benign mixed tumors. The cases are still unknown but the early symptoms include swallowing disorders, hearing impairments, and alteration of the skin profile.
