An 81-year-old man, from Nashville, Tennessee, is winning the Internet after a video of him showing off his guitar skills went viral online.
Bob Wood left everyone stunned at a local guitar shop named British Audio Service after he played a version of the standard “Besame Mucho” in their salon.
The Internet users were also left stunned after British Audio Service shared the video of Bob showing off his guitar skills online.
One user commented: ‘You put us all to shame sir’ while another added: ‘i heard flamenco, jazz, and blues all at once! Awesome’.
The third one wrote: I love this more then I can even put into words. This man is literally the meaning of life. U never forget what u love. It runs through your heart forever. God bless this man!’
Another said: ‘Amazing. It’s unbelievable. I don’t have words to describe this. I would want to play the guitar like that when I as old as he is’.
Bob grew up playing music in the Shenandoah Valley. In 1970, he was signed on as a regular performer at Jamboree USA in Wheeling, West Virginia and performed 10 years.
Bob, who has nine children, was named Entertainer of the Year by Eastern States Country Music Inc.
After this video went viral, he performed at the Global Leadership Summit in Chicago and the inaugural Celebrate Aging Film Festival in Franklin.
Bob told Nashville NewsChannel 5 how he ended up playing at British Audio Service. He said: “I had taken a couple of amplifiers in to be repaired and when they told me they were ready, I took the guitar to check ’em out.”
Shane Radtke of British Audio Service said: “I was in the back at my bench and I heard somebody playing something pretty original. And I was like, Wow, that’s really cool. So I said, ‘Guys, let’s shoot a video of this.’”
