Imagine having worms crawling on the inside of your body! How will you react to it?
A man who kept complaining about severe headaches and seizures was rushed to the hospital only to find out he had tapeworms crawling inside his body. And they were not just 2 or 3 but the diagnose found out there were 700 tapeworms inside his body.
43 years old Zhu Zhong-fa, who lives in east China’s Zhejiang province started having the symptoms a month prior to when he decided to go see a doctor. The reason for the same is being called a hotpot he ate.
Medics saw his symptoms but had no idea what was causing them. He then decided to take help from the First Affiliated Hospital of College of Medicine, Zhejiang University.
The infectious diseases department’s Dr. Wang Jian-rong was the one to treat Zhu as he told him about the symptoms. Dr. ran a few tests on him and finally found out what was living inside his body. The Doctor found out about 700 worms living in his body.
So where do these worms come and how are they able to get inside the body of a human?
Well, they come from tapeworm eggs if you eat one or when we eat undercooked infected pork. The worms were found inside Zhu’s brain, his lunges and inside his chest too.
We tend to eat a meat-based diet in most of our meals. When we eat meat like lamb and pork, it is very important to make sure it is cooked properly because if it is not cooked properly, the infections the body of the animal had or the worms on the body will continue to survive and through the meat, they will find a passage to enter your body. This can have serious consequences.
