Watch the man who fell through the ceiling while hiding from the police

25-year-old Matty Walsh was partying with some friends when the police knocked at the door in Rochdale, Manchester.
The police said that a wanted man was hiding from them and they were looking for him.
When the police asked them about the wanted man, that’s when they all heard a creak from the ceiling and a hole appeared in the ceiling.
A man’s leg appeared and the wanted man, who was hiding in the attic, fell through the ceiling.
Matty, from Rochdale, Manchester, said: “We heard a cracking and the police said, ‘Who’s in the roof?’ The next thing a foot comes in and the plaster comes down and almost hits the copper on the head.”
“There was no way out and he came down when they went to get him, there was no way out so he just gave up. We were all having a laugh about it, I don’t know what the coppers thought of it.”
Matty filmed the moment the two officers interrogating a party goer before hearing a creak from the ceiling and the wanted man felling through the ceiling.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester police confirmed that the wanted man had been arrested at the party on account of domestic assault.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester police said: “Shortly after 02.00am on Saturday, June 1, officers responded to reports of a domestic assault in Rochdale.”
“A male was detained at a nearby house in Ennerdale Road and arrested on suspicion of assault and breaching a restraining order.”
The video of the wanted man falling through the ceiling was shared online and it instantly went viral.
People were left shocked and wondered how the man hid in the ceiling.
