A young man and his family took the life of his girlfriend and her friend after she refused to abort the baby that he had fathered.
The tragic story takes place in Brazil where 24-year-old Ellen Priscila Ferreira and her 39-year-old friend Ely Carlos dos Santos were allegedly assaulted and burned alive by a 19-year-old man and his family, including his 36-year-old wife.
As G1 reported, the attack was organized by the 19-year-old man, who made Ferreira pregnant, and his wife.
The family reportedly orchestrated the killings after the 24-year-old refused to have an abortion. After tying up Ferreira and her friend, the family forced the pair into a car before setting the vehicle on fire and burning them alive.
“Ellen was pregnant with the man who killed her. He is married, but had a relationship with Ellen. The suspect’s wife was also pregnant. They both wanted Ellen to take the child away, but she did not accept it,” lead investigator Paulo de Tarso said.
Along with the 19-year-old man and his pregnant wife, the police also arrested two other men on suspicion of helping carry out the gruesome plan.
While the 19-year-old and his wife confessed their crime, their alleged assistants refused to admit their involvement in the case.
“To date, we are not sure how the victims were approached. We know what happened after they were tied to the car,” the investigator added.
“We are trying to prove that the man and the woman, who are married, got together with the other two suspects to commit the crime.”
