One McDonald’s customer Elias Abi-Merhi brought his own pita bread to a McDonald’s restaurant in Sydney and convinced a drive-thru staff member to make him a ‘Leb Mac’.
Hilarious video shows Elias Abi-Merhi asking a drive-thru staff member if she could make him a Big Mac using his own pita bread instead of the bun.
He can be heard saying in the video: ‘Can I ask you a favour I’ve got some Lebanese bread could you wrap it in the Lebanese bread for me?’
The female worker looks at him in amusement.
‘With this, you can’t go wrong. Come on please, for me – I wanna try it,’ he added.
The female worker hesitated and said she was ‘going to get in trouble’ but a few minutes later, she handed him ‘Leb Mac’ that she made using his own pita bread.
He then says: ‘They actually made it for me, the first Leb Mac, Sydney Australia look at that. Youse are missing out.’
The man shared the hilarious video online with the caption: ‘The new Leb Mac.. only at McDonald’s for a limited time. Yallah Hurry up!’
The video had everyone in stitches. One user commented on the video: ‘Haha they actually made it for you I’m dying.’
Later, Elias said: “The McDonalds staff cried with laughter and looked shocked because no one had requested it before. It’s a one-off special order.”
“The Leg Mac is my own idea. I used to do it when I was a little boy because I didn’t like the burger buns and sesame seeds. It was also too big to eat it in one piece and would go all go over the place. The benefits of wrapping it in Lebanese bread is that it stays intact.”
