Man Who Licked Ice Cream Before Putting The Tub Back In Store Freezer Is Facing One Year Behind Bars


The man who licked the top of the ice cream before putting the tub back into the store freezer is facing one year in prison after pleading guilty to public mischief.

24-year-old D’Adrien Anderson has proudly shared a video of himself compromising the safety of customers after licking ice cream in a tub and putting the product back inside the freezer of Port Arthur Walmart in Texas.

While the CCTV footage revealed that Anderson bought the tub of ice cream he licked after his video went off, Blue Bell, the company producing the treat, was forced to throw away all of their products at the store.

“Happy national soft ice cream day lmao,” the 24-year-old captioned his video that racked up over 160,000 views.

After pleading guilty to public mischief, the man has been facing up to one year in jail and a $4,000 fine. However, he begged the judge for leniency and asked for probation.

The disgusting trend that encourages people to lick the top of Blue Bell ice cream before putting the containers back in the freezer has kicked off in 2019 after a woman inspired similar-minded individuals to follow her example.

At the time, the woman’s video received over 8 million views, prompting the ice cream company Blue Bell Creameries to come up with the following response:

“During production, our half gallons are flipped upside down and sent to a hardening room where the ice cream freezes to the lid creating a natural seal. The lids are frozen tightly to the carton. Any attempt at opening the product should be noticeable. We will continue to monitor this situation.”
