Danyaal Mahmud, who threw a milkshake over Tommy Robinson after he ‘taunted him over Muslim grooming gangs’, has claimed he is getting death threats.
Mahmud said that he was in town to meet with an occupational health therapist when anti-fascist protesters invited him to join them in confronting Robinson and his group in the town centre.
When the EDL founder Robinson arrived, he approached Mahmud.
Mahmud said: ‘The first time he approached me, he asked me if I thought he was racist and I said: “Yeah.point 377 |

‘I’m a low-key person, I didn’t anticipate this publicity and I don’t want it – I’m getting death threats on social media and I am worried about me and my family being targeted’, he added.
Cheshire Police said: ‘We are aware of an allegation of assault made following an incident in Bridge Street in Warrington this afternoon. We are looking into the circumstances.’
