A man allegedly earned as much as $16,000 while filming himself sleeping for eight hours.
26-year-old Asian Andy is a Twitch streamer with over one million subscribers on YouTube who managed to turn his sleep into a profitable business.
As the young man from Westminster, California, revealed, he earned an astounding $16k in less than eight hours by live-streaming himself while sleeping and allowing his viewers to disturb him.
In exchange for a payment, viewers were allowed to interrupt Andy’s sleep by playing loud noises and annoying music. Those who wanted to go the extra mile in ruining the 26-year-old’s sleep could also send him text-to-voice messages and jokes – in exchange for a payment, of course.
Following his well-interrupted sleep, Andy, who typically shares lifestyle videos on his channel, thanked his followers for bugging him all night long as he revealed he made $16k thanks to their contributions.
“God d*mn, thank you so much,” the popular streamer said. “Last sleep stream world record was $6,000. You guys, $16,000? I used to drive Uber man for $16 an hour. I used to drive Uber, that’s all I would do and go to school. You guys made my life, seriously. This is f***ing crazy.”
As it appears, Andy not only racked up plenty of dollars but also broke the record of Ice Poseidon, a Twitch streamer who earned thousands of dollars while live-streaming himself sleeping back in 2017.
