Authorities have launched a manhunt for a man wearing a peppa pig mask and fled in a white Ford Transit-style van before parents and guardians in the area could write down the registration number.
The sicko in a peppa pig mask tried to lure kids from a playground into woods before speeding off in his vehicle.
Children fled after the man beckoned to them when they were playing near woodland in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Local councilor Tracey Grant said: “You never know what this man is doing, it must be a concern for parents.
“The best thing to do is to call police straight away, they can get down there quite quickly.
“They would rather go to a well-intentioned call to find nothing than not go and it be something. Also, if you see someone getting in a car, try and take down the registration plate.”
Councillor Bob Hall also added: “Thankfully, the children had the sense not to go with this man.
“These incidents are not regular occurrences but it is something we have to be vigilant about and watchful.
“I would like to remind parents to teach their children not to go with these sorts of people. I am just really glad no-one has been harmed.”
A spokesman for Suffolk Police said: “Anyone with similar reports of such an incident are asked to contact us on 101, quoting reference 37/54088/19.”
One internet user commented: “I hope he is found and soon. Thank god the children had the sense to run away from him and no harm came to them.”
