A man has proposed to his girlfriend while the pair were locked in a monkey cage at a wildlife sanctuary.
The bizarre proposal took place at Queensland’s Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where Sarah Mudle was in for the surprise of her lifetime while feeding tiny monkeys.
As the Gold Coast-native was tending to tiny monkeys with worms in her hand, her boyfriend, Blaine, secretly got down on one knee and proposed to her with a unique skull-inspired engagement ring.
“So this just happened! I’m officially engaged! In love with my ring. Skulls and a black diamond yes please,” Sarah revealed in her Instagram post as she shared photos of the special moment and her engagement ring.
“Moment captured. I was in a cage with a hand full of worms feeding tiny monkeys! I turn around to see Blaine on one knee.”
While the entire crew at the wildlife sanctuary was aware of Blaine’s proposal plan, Sarah admitted that her boyfriend successfully kept the plan a secret from her.
“I can’t believe literally all the staff knew about it all day. You guys kept the secret so well,” she added.
Needless to say, Sarah answered with a firm ‘YES’, whereas she couldn’t be happier with the engagement ring that features two white diamonds and two skulls holding a bigger black diamond.
According to Sarah, the ring was custom-made by the same designer that was in charge of making jewelry for the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
Congratulations to the couple!
