A man got down on his knee and proposed his wife once again after 63 years.
85-year-old Karl Von Schwarz had promised his 82-year-old wife, Donna that if she successfully undergoes her surgery, he would buy her a new engagement ring.
When Donna came back home after the successful heart surgery, Karl fulfilled his promise.
The couple went to a department store and Donna picked out a ring. Then, Karl got down on his knee and proposed her once again.
The couple, who were high school sweethearts, married back in 1956.
Their granddaughter, Christina Von Schwarz, told WFAA: “They’re really just such amazing people, I’ve never met anyone like them.”
“They’re definitely something to strive for in a relationship.”
Christina shared the video of her grandparents on Twitter which instantly went viral, leaving people in tears.
“I told them that they were famous on Twitter and they were so happy. I never thought it would blow up, but it definitely deserves the recognition that it got.”
Kar said about the proposal:
“It was great because it’s a gal that I’ve loved all of my life. It was very easy. You know, we’ve been together so long that we can’t stay apart really.”
