People are trying to keep themselves entertained by watching films and others are taking to TikTok to kill some time during coronavirus quarantine.
But one man decided to cure his boredom by running a marathon.
32-year-old Elisha Nochomitz spent 6 hours and 48 minutes running around his balcony in France. His video showed him running up and down the 7m balcony of his apartment.
“I come to run for almost 7 hours on my balcony, 7 meters long and 1 meter wide. (Many of you have calculated, around 6000 return trips),” Elisha wrote on Instagram.
“I had the possibility of going out to run around the house, but if everyone thinks the same there would have been many outside …
“My work has been recognized as being of public utility, so the best way not to be put down is to play sports.
“ConsigneThe order was to stay at home, that’s what I did. Just to show you that we have no excuses, and please think of all these caregivers who are on the front line facing this virus.
“I write hot after turning for 7 hours on my balcony … everything is mixed in my head and I want to vomit hahaha … But thank you all for your messages / support throughout the day. You helped me hold on.
“I worked my mind today. I didn’t think I could run 42bornes anymore but #marathonman is still there.”
The restaurant worker told HuffPost France: “I wanted to bring something playful to the containment. I saw pictures of people going out of their homes for jogging.
“But if everyone does the same, we will all end up outside. Part of my goal was to kill as much time as possible.”
One Instagram user commented: “Very Motivating Effort . Congratulations.”
Another wrote: “OMG what a strength od spirit! You are Amazing ana a great example for us. A BIG THANK YOU fro Poland goes your way. ps. My balkony is 3 meters long but I do exercise with my daughters inside and go jogging at 7 am when there is very few people in the woods.”
