A 33-year-old man faces 15 years in prison after he rescued a 14-year-old boy from a convicted pedophile.
Vladimir Sankin from Russia is getting overwhelming support from the public who demand to drop the charge he’s currently facing.
The car mechanic just assisted a frantic teenager to help his friend who had been locked inside the apartment of a 54-year-old man named Zaitsev.
Sankin ran to the apartment and heard a teen crying inside. He then forced his way in and rescued a 14-year-old boy who had been told by the pedo to remove his clothes.
Sankin then beat the pedo with a wooden stick and waited for police but the man, who was released from prison after a conviction for sex attacks on kids, passed away.
According to reports, Zaitsev met the teens in the entrance to his apartment where they warm themselves up after playing in the snow for several hours. He then invited the teens to his apartment to dry their clothes.
But once the boys got in, they were told to strip naked and ‘harassed’ them. One of the boys managed to escape and asked for help.
“I didn’t expect him to die at all,” Sankin expressed. “I saved two children… from him.”
Thousands of people have signed a petition demanding his release. The petition says the pedo passed away after hitting his head when he fell on the ground.
Roman, one of Sankin’s friends, said: “He is a good guy. He has paid for his kindness with his liberty.”
Sankin’s wife, Polina, also said: “I’m entirely on his side for not walking out [on the boys] because no-one knows what would have happened next if he turned a blind eye.”
