Parents have to keep an eye on their children to protect them from any injury or accident. Sometimes some incidents are as frightening as falls, but the immediate action of a Chinese bystander saved one toddler’s life from one such accident.
The incident occurred in Yining’s Renhe Residential District, an area in northwest China called the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, according to the Daily Mail.
A 28-year-old man whose name is Tonik Turghanbek had just parked his car at the curb.
The CCTV footage showed Turghanbek opening his door, and starts waking but his gaze suddenly shot up.
A toddler fell down from a multi-story residential buildings window and was dropped straight for him.
This kind of incidents is not a big problem in abroad because The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that some 9.2 million young Americans need treatment for nonfatal injuries annually.
Falls made up 2.8 million of those cases.
They have proper treatment for these patients. For children younger than 12 months didn’t get much hurt.
This case about Turghanbek was nonfatal, as the Turghanbek rushed forward to catch him
“The moment I saw it, he was already falling. I thought of nothing at the moment, and then I caught him,” Turghanbek said, according to Inside Edition.
Turghanbek managed the catch on time, so, the child slipped between his hands and struck him in the chest before hitting the pavement.
“I don’t know what happened after that, as I fainted for a while,” he said. “When I woke up, police and rescuers were all here.”
We appreciate his quick thinking, the child is safe and didn’t suffer any major injuries, and Turghanbek himself only had minor cuts.
