In October 2014, Cory Williams and his girlfriend were wandering around Alaska and came across a frozen lake in Anchorage. Since Cory grew up in California, he rarely experienced temperatures below freezing, so the joys of cold weather were all new to him.
Cory thought to skip a rock across the frozen lake to see what would happen. Since there is no way the rocks can go into the water, it made him curious, and he decided to give it a try.
He started finding the perfect rock to throw, and when found one, he skipped the rock across the frozen lake.
He was stunned when he heard the sound, the frozen lake made. The frozen lake made a chirping and pinging sound that left Cory speechless.
He started searching for another rock to throw because it was the coolest sound he ever heard. He even asked his girlfriend to try this.
