A video of a river exploding after a man throws a bucket of water into it is going viral on the Internet, leaving people angry.
The video was posted on YouTube by Maria McCormick after her husband Scott threw a bucket of water into the river.
The video – which has been shot at St. Johns River in Volusia County, Florida and has already been viewed more than 2million times, was shared online with the caption:
“My husband was bailing water out of our boat after a huge storm. Every time he threw the water we saw splashes in the water.”
“I happened to be recording on one of the tosses and we saw huge splashes of water everywhere. We both looked at each other and said ‘I will never swim in there again!'”
The video was slammed by the Internet users who criticized the man and his wife for throwing a bucket of water into the river.
It turned out the manatees (sea cows) caused the splashing and Internet users slammed the man and his wife for torturing the endangered species.
One user wrote: “I hope you serve time for harassing an endangered species.”
Another added: “I hope FWC (Fish and Wildlife Conservation) charges your ass with anything and everything they can. People like you suck at life.”
The third one wrote: “Disturbed a peaceful pod of manatees. Made them think that a bull shark was attacking.”
One wrote: “Manatee guarantee it. They freak out thinking the gators (Or boats) are after them. I have almost been knocked out of a Jon boat by Manatee bumping the bottom. The water is tanic it is not nasty or polluted, just dark like clear coffee.”
Internet users accused the man of harassing and torturing the endangered species.
In the US, if someone torture or harass manatees, they can face up to 60 days in prison and a $500 fine.
