38-year-old Conrad North ordered 23 takeaway dishes worth £110 from his local Indian takeaway for him and his six friends.
Conrad decided to collect the order by himself when he was told it would take an hour to deliver the dishes.
CCTV footage outside his friend’s home in Basingstoke, Hampshire, shows Conrad hitting his head on a car and slipping on ice, sending 23 takeaway dishes worth £110 in the air.
A few moments later, he gets up, rushes towards the takeaway dishes scattered across the pavement, and puts them back in the takeaway bag.
He said: “I was spending the Saturday night with the lads in our newly built “man cave”. We decided to get a takeaway before getting on the beers. Everything slows down when snow’s about so I suggested going to pick it up as it was only a five-minute drive away.”
“When we pulled up outside the house I was doing my best to tread carefully. But I managed to find the only bit of black ice to slip over and the bags went flying up in the air.”
“I didn’t realise I had hit my head until I watched it back. I suppose it was just shock. I saw the absolute carnage and did my best to hoover it back up. My mate came over and asked if I was hurt. I told him I was fine then he asked if he could laugh.”
“When I walked in the door I was carrying the takeaway with two hands. As soon as I told everyone they burst out laughing. I still served it up and we had a good night. It didn’t taste any different. I’m glad I managed to save it all. Thankfully I got off without any bruises or scratches. The only thing I damaged was my pride.”
The hilarious video was shared online and went viral instantly. The video, that had everyone in fits, has been viewed more than 1 million times.
