A picture of a man standing on a plane while his wife is sleeping on the seat went viral and received outrage from netizens.
A Twitter user named Courtney Lee Johnson who is a life coach from Indiana shared an image of an unidentified man who had stood in the aisle of the cabin while his wife slept for a full six hours during a long-haul flight.
The viral image has received flak from people as some say the man is ‘whipped’ and the woman is ‘selfish’ while some are questioning the validity of the tweet.
Courtney Lee Johnson captioned the picture: ”This guy stood up the whole 6 hours so his wife could sleep. Now that is love.”
Courtney was full of praise for the unnamed man’s behavior but not everyone was in support of such thing and even some people found it fake.
‘That’s not love. Also which airline allows anyone to stand for 6 hours during a flight,’ a user said.
Another said: ‘As someone who [flies] every day… this would last up to the point that one flight attendant walked by lol no way in he** they would allow that for even a minute.’
‘Fake news,’ many questioned the authenticity of the post.
‘We need to let go of this idea of love that involves suffering,’ another tweeted.
‘Love more like [absolutely] whipped the muppet,’ a user slammed.
‘He needs someone to love him back,’ said another.
‘He spent all of those [six] hours planning the divorce,’ a user joked.
‘She couldn’t sleep on his lap or you know on her own chair? This isn’t sweet, it’s sad,’ a user said.
‘Not love but exploitation. She could have just rested her head on his lap. Very inconsiderate,’ a user – who evidently felt strongly about the situation – said.
