A 53-year-old man needed to undergo surgery after a beer glass got stuck in his bum.
According to a report from the hospital, the glass was 6cm tall with a diameter of 5.6cm.
Mr. Huang from China went to the Affiliated Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital after he inserted the glass into his rectum.
Doctor Li Wusheng and his team had to operate on the patient when they couldn’t remove the beer glass.
X-ray images show how the beer glass was positioned around 2.36 inches (6 centimeters) up the patient’s rectum.
The hospital did not provide details about why the patient pushed the item into his body.
Last November, another Chinese man went to Dongguan Hospital of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine after a 17.7cm long bottle got stuck in his backside.
The 60-year-old man said that he had been using the bottle to scratch his back when he accidentally lost control of the item.
Doctor Lin Jun told local media: “The patient told me: ‘My abdomen hurts. There’s something inside. I can’t poo or fart.’ The entire glass bottle was inside his rectum. I could feel the bottle under his abdomen.
“He said his anus was itching. He said: ‘I was very uncomfortable, so I bought a bottle of Florida Water and began scratching the itch. Then the bottle accidentally went up my rectum.’”
The surgeons removed the long bottle by entering the patient’s rectum, tying a wire around the bottle, and gently pulling it.
Dr. Lin Jun advised against using bottles for scratching hard to reach areas. “It’s better to seek medical attention and let a doctor help you than attempt to resolve similar conditions by buying tools and such things,” he said.
