CCTV has caught a man who threw hot coffee into the face of a staff because he been denied a request for a coffee refill.
Local news ABC News reported on the incident which happened at a McDonald’s in Washington.
In the video, a male guest wearing a hat and camping equipment enters the store around 6 am.
He orders a hot cup of coffee.
As soon as he got his coffee, he pours the coffee into his tumbler and asks for the empty cup to be refilled.
When the staff politely rejected his absurdly demanding attitude, the man began to say, “You should respect your elders and give me a refill.”
The employee asked him to leave the store, but the man turned furious and threw the hot coffee in his tumbler coffee into the employee’s face and ran away.
Due to the incident, the employee suffered a severe 3rd degree burn in the face and part of the neck.
“The coffee that the man threw was over 100ºF,” said Lacey Police Department in Washington. “It will depend on the severity of the injury, but if we catch the person, he will be sued for assault.”
