Last month a man from Florida had certainly bought several domain names for a purpose.
His purpose was to raise money for the protestors who were working hard as they protested against the lockdown.
He fairly wasn’t able to raise a considerable amount of money but he did receive something else.
He revealed that he had forgotten to hide away his registered Gmail id from his domain and before he could even know, his inbox was flooding. No, there were no good messages wishing him luck but a lot and a lot of death threats.
Brad Lee Butcher, an entrepreneur decided to buy several domain names including reopenMI.com reopenNC.com, reopenNC.org, and reopenFL.com.
He then redirected all the domain names to a petition that he had uploaded on reopenNC.com. The petition asked people to sign up to stand up and demand to reopen the business in North Caroline amid the pandemic.
On Thursday, Brad took down all the domains. He said that his family lives in North Caroline and they are not happy with the closing of the business.
He had to do something so he started the petition and was trying to raise money so that they can get caps and t-shirts printed for the protest.
Working in marketing has made him follow the trends as much as he can. This is why he tried to focus on raising money through a petition.
Petitions are the most trending means to collect people these days. He wanted to help his family in the protest so he took the only way he knew.
The protest started with a group of people who wanted the lockdown to end even though people were dying in Indiana.
Brad said his mother was also a member of the same group. The leader of the group later reported that she has tested positive.
