A man has gone viral after building a winter park in his backyard in order for his dogs to have fun and exercise during the cold season.
As Canada-based Brian Keith Einarson told The Dodo, he has always wanted for his three dogs to stay healthy and fit even when the temperatures drop below zero.
To make sure the pooches sleep less and play more, he turned his backyard into a magical winter wonderland with sculptures and igloos carved out of snow.
As Mr. Einarson added, creating tunnels underneath the sheets of snow not only made it fun for his dogs to run through but also made cleaning poos easier.
“I’m a truck driver and I would get home at night when it’s dark out, and it’s hard to find the poop. So I just made paths so I could find it. Otherwise, it’s springtime, you would have a pretty big mess out there, and it’s not very appealing,” the dog lover said in an interview with The Dodo.
Soon enough, Einarson realized that his backyard could look even better with a bit of help from the kids around the block who loved to play with snow after school hours.
About a month later, the playground for dogs was finished and the only thing needed to get the pooches moving was an incentive in the form of treats.
“They watch from the window as I put treats all over the place. As soon as they see me come and open the door it’s a mad dash for each dog to get as many treats as they can,” Einarson said according to The Dodo.
“They run by and grab them and keep running.”
