Michael Rosenbrock just had a lucky day as when he walked into a grocery store he was offered a lucky draw ticket.

He took it but had little faith in it. But guess what? To his surprise, he ended up winning $250k in the lottery.

This Christmas season came out to be merrier for this North Carolina resident more than anyone else around him because Santa probably has him on the good list.

Michael Rosenbrock was hosting a family dinner this season at his house and so he had to go to the grocery store to pick up some supplies. There he picked up a lottery ticket but had faith that it will be a waste scratch.

“I am hosting Christmas dinner at my house this year for the family, so I came to pick up things early. I wanted the meal to be prepared right on time so I came to get some stuffing, ham, meatball and other stuff.” He told to the North Carolina Education Lottery.

He said that he had bought the ticket for just $5 and had no belief in it. He just wanted to try it out of curiosity and believed it is not going to work. To his surprise, the same did not happen.

After deducting all the taxes to the central and the state, he will walk away home with $176,876, which is still a massive amount.

When asked what is he going to do with all the money he said that he will start a non-profit organization with.

He says “I have always wanted to start a non – profit organization but never had enough funds. We take so many things for granted, the food, the roof on head, the clean water that is available to us, ¼ of the world does not have it.”
