A man has returned to work at the same hospital that saved his life after shedding off 2/3rd of his weight as he weighed over 50 stones.
The man has come back to work after 15 long years.
After his body had suddenly ballooned up to a massive size, Paul Stevenson’s life had become extensively difficult. Walking as less as 10 steps had become a challenge to him and so had his survival.
He underwent gastric surgery to get his life back on track and ever since he has been able to shed 33 stones from his weight, he started working.
Soon after he recovered from the surgery and got his life back on the track, he started working at the same hospital as a porter that had saved his life.
Paul says it is because of Royal Derby Hospital that his life has become livable again.
The 38 years old man was deeply traumatized with the death of his mother. As a cope up technique, he started eating a lot of food.
As a regular practice, he started eating 3 to 4 take away parcels every single day. As a result of the same, his body ballooned up and became unreadable on the scales.
It was in the year 2016 that he decided to take steps to change his life. He went under a gastrectomy surgery at the Royal Derby Hospital for his fat removal. He was introduced to a new diet and workout regime that helped him get a load of fat off his body.
He then went under a skin removal surgery in Holland and now he just weighs 18 stones.
After getting his life to cross the safety checks, he started working after 15 years. He now works at Royal Derby Hospital as a porter to contribute to the hospital that saved and changed his life for the better.
