There are so many people who choose unhealthy ways of saving money and the same happened when a man shared his ultimate budget hack for breakfast.
An Australian man posted about his thrifty meal-prep technique in a closed Facebook group. He shared that he purchases a number of $1 hamburgers from McDonald’s during the day and then he heats one up for breakfast every morning before work for a snack.
”So when McDonald’s have their hamburger for $1 specials, I load up and freeze them and microwave them for breakfast,” he said.
”The deal runs from 10:30 am to midnight on the loose change menu but I have breakfast before I head out to work at 7:30 am.”
”Anyone do anything similar? It’s a 250 calorie breakfast.”
Many people praised him for this hack and called it a ‘genius’ idea and ‘their kind of meal prep’, while others slammed him for being lazy and unhealthy.
One person commented: “Oh my god how are they still edible.”
Another added: “This is seriously disgusting. You’re just being lazy and it’s not a good breakfast option.”
But this is not the first time when someone shared this kind of money-saving hack as a woman from Adelaide shared details of how she saves money on meal prepping.
”$1 hamburgers freeze well. Good four easy cheap lunch/dinner, getting my red meat intake,” the woman wrote along with the picture of burgers covered in cling wraps in a Facebook group.
But her hack didn’t go well with everyone as people called her out for her unhealthy food choices.
”Buy some fruit with that instead of contributing to your medical expenses by eating junk,” one commented.
”That is a big problem these days, junk is cheaper than the healthy options and it’s very sad,” one said.
Her post has since been deleted from the Facebook group.
