Recently, Pelosi slams the House of Republicans and mentions how a large number of them have refused to be vaccinated, resulting a rejection of lifting the mask mandates.
In response, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene compares wearing masks to a horrible time in history where Jews had to be taken to gas chambers by force.point 131 | She says that “This woman [Pelosi] is mentally ill.point 180 | You know, we can look back in a time in history were people were told to wear a gold star and they were definitely treated like second class citizens, so much so that they were put in trains and taken to gas chambers in Nazi Germany.point 368 |

She even slammed Pelosi for attending a gathering where majority of the representatives were absent of a mask.
Pelosi said that the mask mandate will remain in law until all the lawmakers are vaccinated.point 361 |
Alongside this controversy, GOP Representative David Massie tweeted his $500 fine for not wearing a mask, writing, “@SpeakerPelosi sent me another letter.point 139 | Something about violating her tyrannical and unscientific mask rule.point 199 | I filed this one in the same location.point 230 |

Pelosi refutes that those who do not get the vaccine are “selfish” and a “danger to their colleagues.” She comments, “We have to wait for them to be vaccinated. Because they are selfishly an endangerment to other people, including staff people here. We have a responsibility to make sure the House of Representatives’ chamber is not a petri dish.”
Another response to this is a Twitter post from Republicans of the House, refusing to wear a mask. The tweet says: “Enough is enough! #FreeYourFace”
Pelosi gives statistics on the amount of people who have not been vaccinated, estimating that 75% have already been vaccinated. CNN reveals the difference of vaccinations, showing that all of the 219 democrats in the House have been vaccinated, versus the 97 out of 211 Republicans that are in the House.
Pelosi asks, “Does anybody feel like wearing a mask? No no, we all want to get through this.”
