A newly revealed image from NASA showed that their curiosity rover had found the presence of mushroom on Mars.
Moreover, there have been multiple other images captured by the Rover which showed the growth of algae and fungi in the surface of the deserted planet.
Even though the claims are yet to be confirmed by the scientists, but more than 15 images have been revealed recently which shows traces of life on the planet.
As per the reports, if the photographs are confirmed to be unaltered, then this would be one of the biggest discoveries by NASA and will make life outside earth a reality rather than fiction.
Even though it is still unknown that what has led to the sudden growth of life on that planet but if it is true, cultivating on Mars would be possible.
As per the reports, it has been stated that six independent scientists have been recruited along with eight senior editors for scrutinizing the study. Some of the other evidence those scientists have found which reveals life on Mars is possible are:
Water
In 2000, during an expedition to Mars, scientists had found traces of water on the planet. Even though there is no hard evidence, but the water which is locked up in the polar ice caps may be an indication that water was present on the planet years back.
Meteorites
Till date, 34 meteorites have hit earth, and during 1966, scientists have found traces of fossilized bacteria from one of the meteorites which are known as the ALS84001. But, in 2000, the scientists confirmed that the organic material was a result of volcanic activity.
Methane
In the year 2018, scientist confirmed that Mars experiences a sudden spike of methane in its atmosphere. The sudden spike was mainly observed during in the northern hemisphere during late summer and in the southern hemisphere during the late winter.
