For weeks people have been trying to capitalize on the outbreak of coronavirus by hoarding face masks, toilet rolls, and antibacterial gels.
However, there is a part of our society that is thinking quite differently.
As you might know that McDonald’s restaurants have been closed in the UK, and people seem to be really missing them, just like the rest of the world.
But someone decided to sell a full box of McDonald’s chicken nuggets with a description saying ‘with six missing’ on eBay and even has the highest bid of Euro 2.40.
This is not it; there are some McDonald’s cheeseburgers on the listing as well. And one of the burgers is listed as ‘new’, and presently has a bidding offer of 99p. The listing also warns that users have to reheat the burger after purchasing.
While most of them are trying on making a profit, some are doing this for charitable purposes. A list described that the money from the purchase would proceed to charity.
A seller has listed ‘Authentic McDonald’s Big Mac’ which comes in its original box along with genuine purchase receipt.
The highest bid on this purchase stands at Euro 12.50. The listing further states that this is only for collection purposes and would not suggest you eat it.
Also, all the measures have been taken to make sure that the burger stays in pristine condition, but the chances of deterioration are quite high. The seller added that the earning would proceed to the NHS, who are combating the coronavirus at the front line.
Another seller has listed eight frozen double cheeseburgers from McDonald’s and said they are good for the end of the world. The earning will also be going to one of the coronavirus charities.
