If you think that good help is hard to find in this 21st-century world, then meet Chris Campbell. Campbell, very recently, celebrated his 27th year of employment with McDonald’s in Atlanta-area.
This eatery recently got recognized owing to the 27th anniversary of this loyal man. On this special day, the man reportedly also got a homemade cake, commemorative certificate, and a trophy which is star-based. Sources claim that the festivity lasted for a long time.
During the time, the man was surrounded by all his friends, crew member, and of course his family members. Known for his dedication, his crew members call him ‘Happy Meal expert’- owing to the steadfast work ethic that he follows.
However, there’s something that makes him set apart. Campbell, the age-old employee has Down syndrome.
Atlanta’s Association of Down Syndrome has already helped him in sponsoring festive celebration. As far as the reports are concerned, Sheryl Arno, the executive director happens to be one of the attendees.
The big gala of this man occurred right ahead of the World Down Syndrome Day. As a matter of fact, this date of global awareness is also observed on the 21st of March.
Individuals having Down syndrome alongside their families significantly know the importance of the date – 21. According to the reported explanations, chromosome 21’s extra genetic material is the cause of Down syndrome.
However, there hasn’t been anything that has led Campbell in slowing down. Barbara, his mother, reportedly stated that her son has been relishing not only his work but also the work environment.
Arno has told the sources that the cultural attitudes toward having Down syndrome also lead to posing real challenges. She has also stated that it has been pretty unheard of this, especially for the ones having this problem and holding down a particular job.
The society of Down syndrome also emphasizes that the ones having this problem are willing to work. Most importantly, they’re able to work. However, they’re simply not provided with this chance. And most of the time, people with Down syndrome are seen seeking jobs.
BarbaraCampbell happens to be a lucky mother to have a son like Chris Campbell. His dedication has paid off tribute not only to the people having this illness but also to his family.
