A 3-year-old toddler was kidnapped on Saturday night from a birthday party and an Amber Alert, which is state-wide, has been issued in order to find the missing girl of Alabama.
According to sources, Kamille McKinney, commonly known as Cupcake, was pulled into a dark-colored SUV outside a public housing community on Saturday in Birmingham around 8:30 p.m.
The Chief of Birmingham Police, Patrick Smith, claims that authorities are questioning the two suspects.
The locals provided the officials with a tip, which led them detaining two people from Woodside Condominiums in Center Point.
In a recent press conference, Police Chief said, “We will not end our command post our search until we’ve found some resolution.”
He further stated, “We are going to stay committed to locating the 3-year-old baby. This is something that doesn’t affect just one community, this affects the entire city, the entire state.
And I think everybody wants this young baby to be found and brought back home. We definitely remain hopeful that she’s still out there and alive and we’ll get her back to her family.”
The Chief believes that more suspects are involved in the child’s kidnapping. He shared that the family had not reported the child’s disappearance for several hours.
Nonetheless, he believes that there is no connection between the abductors and the family. However, it still cannot be said surely whether the child is in Alabama or in Birmingham.
The child’s father is satisfied that two suspects have been caught but is still anxious about his daughter’s safety. He said, “I feel a little better that they got him but the search goes on because Cupcake still isn’t home.”
When Kamille was taken, she was wearing a pink Minnie Mouse T-shirt and had blue, white, and yellow blows in her hair. With a height of 3 feet and a weight of 60 pounds, Cupcake has black hair and brown eyes.
