A video shows a slice of meat crawling off the plate as though its soul returned to its body.
In the video, the skinned animal, which people couldn’t distinguish and call it everything from turkey meat to a frog, was seen placed on a white plate with other slabs of meat.
But it suddenly moved towards the table, tumbled off the plate and hit the ground. The woman who was about to prepare the mystery meat started screaming along with other diners.
The piece of meat looked like it was possessed and it didn’t want to get eaten. Some internet users have said the horrifying phenomena can occur when nerve endings haven’t died yet.
Others have said that the meat was simply reacting to salt. One internet user said: “I think it was muscles and nerves twitching which are still alive,” while another said: “That was freaky!”
Earlier this year, another video showing a live octopus trying to fight for its life after a vlogger wanted to eat it whole went viral.
The woman, known as ‘seaside girl Little Seven’ shared a video of herself holding up on the octopus when it suddenly lunged at her and latched on to her face.
While panicking and screaming, she said: “Look how hard it’s sucking.” She also added: “I can’t remove it!”
She managed to take the creature away from her face. The vlogger said to the camera: “My face is disfigured.”
