Medics In China Burst Into Tears While Reuniting With Families After Spending Two Months Fighting Coronavirus In Hubei


Chinese medical workers were broken down into tears as they saw their families after more than two months of duty in Hubei.

The 194 medics who have returned back home to southern Chine after fighting corona on the front lines are from the first Fujian medical team.

They were sent to the former epicenter of the outbreak to reinforce the medical staff available there.

According to the Chinese media, the medics have completed 14 days of quarantine and have met their families for the first time since being sent to Hubei on February 11.

Medics from all over China are now leaving Hubei and going back home after Wuhan is finally preparing to end the lockdown enforced because of coronavirus.

An emotional video of the moment shows husbands presenting flowers to their wives who have returned from the dangerous circumstances, and children of the medical workers can be seen desperately hugging their parents.

A nurse’s husband, Qian Xiaohang, told the local press: “I feel like I’m at my wedding day and seeing my bride again.”

“I couldn’t fall asleep last night at all. It was like the night before the wedding. So excited,” Qian added.

There’s another viral video on the internet that shows a doctor seeing his son after 55 long days of duty. Sadly, even after getting home, Dr. Hou could not hold his son.

He was not allowed any physical interaction as the doctor had to undergo 14 days of quarantine before being eligible to touch anyone.

Dr. Hou and his team of 136 medical workers were the very first medical group from Liaoning, in northeastern China, to go to the corona-struck city of Wuhan and other areas of the province Hubei.

In other videos, crying Chinese citizens can be seen paying tribute to the brave doctors who have fought the deadly disease on the front line.

After an intense lockdown of about two months, the city of Wuhan is set to lift the travel ban on its 1.1 million residents this Wednesday.

So far, there have been 81,708 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China and the pandemic has claimed 3,331 lives.

Globally, there are around 1.3 million confirmed cases of novel coronavirus and at least 69,261 people have lost their lives to the deadly disease.
