Kate Middleton Was Praised For Not Overreacting & Continuing Royal Duties Despite Meghan’s Allegations Against Her

Kate Middleton was accused by Meghan Markle that Kate made her cry before her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, but according to a royal expert, Kate appears to have already moved on regarding that matter.

During the explosive conversation with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year, Meghan Markle claimed that Kate made her cry before she married Prince Harry.

But Camilla said that Kate has proven herself as a peacemaker between Harry and his older brother, Prince William at their grandfather’s funeral in April.

When Harry was reunited with his family just weeks later at his grandfather Prince Philip’s funeral, Kate was the first member of the family to be spotted conversing to him and was even seen holding back in a bid to reunite him with his brother, Prince William.

“Despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Oprah Winfrey interview, when Kate was accused of making Meghan cry during a bridesmaid’s dress fitting and failing to support her, Kate rose decidedly above it all,” Camilla wrote in Stella magazine.point 222 |

“Setting aside any personal resentment she may still feel about Harry and Meghan’s televised two-hour tell-all, Kate put her best foot forward in trying to carve a path to reconciliation between the brothers.point 184 | point 187 | 1

“Few would have blamed her for giving Harry the cold shoulder, yet she clearly resolved that the situation needed to be appeased rather than aggravated,” she wrote. “It was a deft move that shows the Duchess is not overawed by all that’s going on.”

During Prince Philip’s memorial on April 17th at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor following his death aged 99, the estranged brothers were seen reunited for the first time in more than a year.

Harry was firstly seen speaking to his sister-in-law Kate Middleton as they left the chapel and began walking, but then she seemed to hang back so he could talk to William alone for a few moments.

Christopher Wilson, a royal biographer said that Kate’s decision to instigate a conversation with Harry, which resulted in the brothers talking, was unlikely a planned event.

“I didn’t see that as being a staged thing. I thought it was entirely spontaneous and clever in making the two brothers talk to each other,” he told the magazine. “It was a deft move that shows the Duchess is not overawed by all that’s going on.”

Reports of the conflict between Kate and Meghan first surfaced in November 2018, when sources claimed that Meghan had been left displeased with the “stressful” fitting.

According to details, the cause of the disagreement could possibly be about whether the bridesmaids should wear tights as Meghan believed they should not, or whether Princess Charlotte’s dress not fitting.

“Kate had only just given birth to her third child, Prince Louis, and was feeling quite ¬emotional,” a source said at the time.

Meghan was also asked about the joint outing to Wimbledon, where the duchesses were pictured laughing together, but she appeared to be uncertain about the genuineness of that moment saying: “Nothing is what it looks like”.

There were also reports that Megan shunned Kate to tears but the duchess said “everyone in the institution knew that wasn’t true”.

And she hoped that Kate “would have wanted that to be corrected, she is a good person”.

In an interview with Oprah, Meghan was asked about the day they spent together at Wimbledon in 2019: “Did you feel welcomed by everyone? It seemed like you and Kate at the Wimbledon game where you were going to watch a friend play tennis?”

“Was it what it looked like? You are two sisters-in-law out there in the world, getting to know each other. Was she helping you, embracing you into the family, helping you?” Oprah asked.

The duchess replied: “My understanding and my experience of the past four years is it’s nothing like what it looks like.”

On the other hand, Kate has recently celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary with Prince William, while Meghan is due with a baby girl this summer and remains in stateside under doctor’s order.
