Thomas Markle Jr, 55, claims that Prince Harry, 37, ‘never smiles’ ever since she married her sister, Meghan Markle, 40, who ‘changed after money and fame went to her head’.
According to Metro UK, Thomas has been slammed online for using the first episode of Big Brother Australia VIP to throw a ‘gross rant’ about Meghan, who he hasn’t seen in ten years.
Thomas is rumored to have been paid A$200,000 (150,000 USD) to appear on the popular reality TV show.
When asked by fellow contestants about his estranged sister, Thomas said that he last saw Meghan in 2011.
“Last time [I saw her] was at my grandmother’s funeral in 2011,” Thomas said. “And she took off after that and went to Canada. We were close before.”
“The big thing is now that no one can figure out what happened to her,” Thomas said. “Money changed her I guess. Money and fame went to her head really bad.”
“I guess when you are introduced to the 1% of society – that is most likely the reason that happened to her,” the 55-year-old added. “When you have that much money, you don’t even get in trouble.”
Thomas continued to claim that Meghan completely ‘walked all over’ her ex-husband Trevor Engelson, who she divorced in 2013.
“The thing that gets to me, the guy she was was married to the first time, Trevor, have you seen those Saw movies?” Thomas said. “This guy owns that production company.”
“That guy just took care of her. Man, she was adored by him,” Thomas said. “And she just walked all over him and dumped him, that fast.”
“Harry’s next,” he added. “Harry is on the chopping block next.”
“The only difference between now and then, all the photos prior to that he had a smile on his face, all the ones after he doesn’t,” Thomas said.
The Duchess of Sussex has been estranged for years from her family who have repeatedly lambasted her in the press.
The only family that remained close to Meghan is her mother Doria Ragland, 65, who was the only family member present at her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
Meghan has never commented publicly on her relationship with her brother Thomas, but she made her feelings clear on her father, Thomas Markle, 77, in a bombshell interview with Oprah last March.
The former Suits actress told Oprah how her father betrayed her by lying about speaking to the press before her wedding.
“He wasn’t able to (tell the truth),” Meghan told the talk show host. “And that for me has really resonated, especially now as a mother.”
“I look at Archie, I think about this child, and I go I genuinely can’t imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child,” she said. “I can’t imagine it. So it’s hard for me to reconcile that.”
