According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning not to hire a nanny for their baby.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will instead rely on Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, for childcare, according to Vanity Fair.

Harry still enjoys a close relationship with his childhood nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke, and even invited her to the royal wedding in May last year.

Previously it was reported that Harry, 34 and Meghan, 37, would employ ‘Hollywood super-nanny’ and lifestyle guru Connie Simpson, of Mobile, Alabama, who helped to raise George and Amal Clooney’s twins.

She has worked with A-listers including Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel and has helped to raise more than 250 babies over a 30-year career.

Royal couples including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have hired a professional nanny to help look after their children.

Kate’s mother Carole Middleton has played a hands-on role in the lives of her grandchildren, Prince George, five, Princess Charlotte, three, and Prince Louis, nine months.

However, William and Kate also employed a full-time nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo. Maria was hired in 2014, following Prince George’s birth the previous year.

There are speculations that whether Doria will relocate to the UK from Los Angeles full-time, or will split her time between the two to help raise her grandchild.

According to sources close to Harry and Meghan told Vanity Fair the couple will not ‘initially’ hire a nanny, suggesting they might still employ one further in the future.
