Prince Harry and Meghan Markle impersonators have been mercilessly ridiculed by angry This Morning viewers.
Presenters Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby spoke to four impersonators, who admitted they used to earn thousands from their acts.
They even talked about how their work had been affected by Meghan and Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
38-year-old Sarah Mhlanga from North West England said that she first found out that she looked like Meghan after an IKEA employee thought she was the Duchess of Sussex.
However, she is now being trolled after Meghan’s explosive interview.
“I would never say it was that lucrative, it’s mainly a hobby and a chance for me to exercise my skills, but after the interview there definitely was less gigs,” she told Phil and Holly.
She also said that she was getting negative comments from people online after the interview.
“I started a podcast a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my resemblance to Meghan and the similarities we have,” she expressed, adding: “and just after I started to get messages saying, ‘She’s just an attention seeker, I hate her, she’s horrible, she’s a menace, we’ve never liked her,’ and that really hurt me.
“Although we’re different people, I still represent her, I still play her. I’m a mother as well, and I thought it was something horrible to say to a woman.”
Henry Morley, also known as ‘Prince Harry of the North,” said he had earned £2,500 in only a few days from his work.
Some of the lookalikes said that they now had ‘less gigs’ because of the tell-all Oprah interview but This Morning viewers said that their lack of work was because they “look nothing” like the Sussexes.
One Twitter user wrote: “Lookalilkes? Meghan and Harry? Are you having a laugh? They look nothing like them. I’m creasing.”
Another wrote: “Honestly I think I look more like Meghan Markle than these pair.”
A third said: “They all need to go to Specsavers because these lookalikes don’t look like Harry and Meghan.”
A fourth added: “When you order Harry and Meghan off Wish.”
