Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s popularity ratings have dropped to the lowest level after their tell-all Oprah interview, a new poll shows.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s popularity have significantly fallen in the wake of the bombshell interview, in which they suggested that racism exists in the Royal Family.

According to the new YouGov survey, Britons reacted negatively to the explosive broadcast, with Meghan’s popularity plunging 13 points and Harry’s 15 points.

Meanwhile, the Queen retains her spot as the most popular Royal. Prince William and Kate Middleton also remain very popular, the poll shows.

Prince Andrew remains the most unpopular royal, with 82% negative view, according to the survey.

But Meghan’s popularity has fallen considerably after the tell-all interview with Oprah.

This comes as the Queen and Prince Charles backed Prince William after he told a reporter that royals were “very much not a racist family.”

On Thursday, William became the first senior Windsor to address the allegations made by Meghan and Harry in their interview.

When Inzamam Rashid from Sky News shouted out two questions: “Sir, have you spoken to your brother since the interview?”

Prince William replied: “I haven’t spoken to him yet, but I will do.” The then reporter asked: “Can you just let me know, is the Royal Family a racist family?”

William turned and said firmly: “We’re very much not a racist family.”

Royal staff praised William and said that the father of three did “very well given the emotion and enormity of it all.”

They also claimed that even though Harry and William haven’t spoken in months, the Duke of Cambridge is prepared to stand “shoulder to shoulder” with his younger brother at the unveiling of their late mother Princess Diana’s statue on July 1 at Kensington Palace.

“Tensions are undoubtedly running high but they both realise it is important to put any differences aside for the ceremony at least,” the source reportedly said.

“There is definitely a feeling that both camps are prepared to come together and put on a united front for such a special occasion,” the source added.
