Meghan Markle is all set to donate thousands of copies of her new book to libraries in US-based schools, which is titled, ‘The Bench’.
The Duchess of Sussex’s new venture went on sale just this week. And while the book didn’t hold up to its expectations, with critics slamming the new read in more ways than one, Meghan just recently announced a new decision that took quite a few people by surprise.
Local media outlets confirmed how the book is all set to be donated to hundreds of school libraries in the US, with estimates suggesting a value of around 2000 copies to be more precise.
Meghan’s new book, which initially began as a poem that she made for her husband Prince Harry for the auspicious occasion of Father’s Day, hit the shelves on the 8th of June this month.
Moreover, the book is reportedly said to be about the bond between a father and his son, through the eyes of a mother. Meghan went about dedicating it to both her husband as well as her son Archie. She also mentioned how these two boys make her heart go ‘pump-pump.’
The sudden news of the Duchess’ donations was revealed through Harry and Meghan’s website for the Archwell Foundation.
In the same way, the organization revealed how it would be taking a moment to both support as well as recognize the great changemakers that assist in fostering the community with compassion and relentless connection for all kids.
’The foundation also claimed that its goal was to nourish communities through the art of reading and this was just one of the many steps through which it hoped would occur.
Today, Archwell continues to work with the ‘First Book’ platform which is a non-profitable organization that has already managed to distribute more than 200 million books to all those low-income communities in the American nation.
