A royal expert has claimed that Meghan Markle could relaunch a new version of her lifestyle blog The Tig.
The 38-year-old former actress deleted her personal blog in April 2017 before confirming her relationship with Prince Harry.
The Tig was launched in 2014 where Meghan shared from food and travel to fashion, beauty, politics and other inspirational posts. A royal expert Myka Meier predicted in the Royally Obsessed podcast that The Duchess could join Instagram too as she and Harry had shut down their Sussex Royal account when they stepped down from their roles as senior royals.
In 2018, The Duchess Of Sussex also closed down her personal Instagram account after the news of her engagement with Prince Harry was made public.
”I think Meghan is going to have another Instagram,” Myka told the Royally Obsessed podcast last week. ”I think she’s going to do a Goop, like a new version of The Tig … I really think that’s coming.”
”I have a friend with a little bit of insider knowledge, and I think she’s already working on something. I think we will be seeing something very interesting and creative with masterminds from all over the world coming together to bring something inspiring soon.”
According to The Sun, Meghan’s business manager, Andrew Meyer filed documents in the US to keep the rights to the blog’s name. A palace spokesperson told People magazine: “The lasting trademark is to prevent false branding, to avoid others purporting to be the Duchess or affiliated with her.”
Meghan had revealed her blog’s name The Tig was inspired by wine called Tignanello.point 183 | ”It was an ah-ha moment at its finest.point 220 |
