Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have shared photos of their newborn daughter with the royal family.
The couple, whose baby Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on June 4, reportedly shared a photo of their first daughter with members of the royal family.
According to ET, the photo was shared on the royals’ WhatsApp group, where members of The Firm keep in touch.
Also known as ‘Lili’, Lilibet Diana was born at a hospital in Santa Barbara, Montecito, weighing 7lbs 11oz.
Her name honors the Queen, whose nickname was Lilibet, and Harry’s late mother Princess Diana, who passed away in a car crash while being chased by paparazzi in 1997.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their daughter’s arrival on their Archewell website days, writing: “On June 4, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili.
“She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe.”
Buckingham Palace said in a statement that the family was ‘delighted’ to hear the news.
“The Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement said.
News of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sharing a photo of Lilibet comes after Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, said she ‘can0t wait’ to meet the new member of the family.
“I wish her all the very best. I can’t wait to meet her,” she said during the G7 in Cornwall. “We haven’t met her yet. I hope that will be soon.”
