First lady Melania Trump has been criticized often for not being as outspoken as her predecessors, Michelle Obama.
She even maintained a private profile throughout her last two years in the White House.
Roberts asked during the interview: “I know that Laura Bush reached out to you and said, ‘If you need any help I’m a phone call away.’ You wrote about – have talked about – how you extended that same courtesy to Melania Trump. Has she reached out to you and asked for any help?”

According to The Washington Post, when Michelle was asked about Melania Trump’s approach to her role, the former first lady replied “One of the things you learn as a former, it’s, like, I don’t judge what current is doing, you know?
