Jenny, also known as The Good Wifey on Instagram and is a mom to two older sons, has announced on social media that she is expecting her third child at 62 years old.

She explained that she hasn’t had a period in 16 years after going through menopause, adding that her husband had also had a vasectomy.

A vasectomy is a form of male birth control that cuts the supply of sperm to your semen. It’s done by cutting and sealing the tubes that carry sperm.

Vasectomy has a low risk of problems and can usually be performed in an outpatient setting under local anesthesia. Before getting a vasectomy, you need to be certain you don’t want to father a child in the future.

Although vasectomy reversals are possible, vasectomy should be considered a permanent form of male birth control.

After her period stopped in 2005, Jenny assumed that she could no longer fall pregnant, especially considering her husband had just undergone a vasectomy. The mom has also been answering questions from fellow mothers about being pregnant as an older woman.

She shared a video on TikTok under the account @jennysreviews with the caption “Reply to @dinkywinkydog miracle baby” where she answered one of her follower’s questions.

She was asked “were your tubes tied?” to which she answered, “no my tubes weren’t tied, but my husband did have a little snip snip 16 years ago.”

She then flashed a text on the screen that reads “thought I went through menopause already 16 years ago.”

“And I also haven’t had a cycle in 16 years,” Jenny said. “So, this is truly the miracle baby, surprise!”

In her other clips, Jenny also acknowledges the common things that go with pregnancy, like acid reflux, painful low kicks, and the baby feels like it’s pressing into the bladder.

Jenny decided to share her experience publicly to call out the double standards surrounding men and women. She explained that she is continually told that she is “too old” to have more kids while her husband gets a “high five” from people.

In another clip shared on Instagram, the mom says “after coming out with my age as a 62-year-old pregnant woman, it’s surprising that no one has bothered to ask my husband’s age.”

“He gets a good old high five when people find out we’re expecting,” she said. “Well, he’s 72 years old any more questions?”

The little boy is due in November, with Jenny and her husband now excitedly preparing to be parents to their third son.

In the comments, Jenny received messages from several people informing her that it was “unhealthy to have a baby at 35”.

But she didn’t seem bothered, sassily responding with “that’s a really good point, thank you… I really appreciate your guidance at this time”.

Jenny has been laughing off negative comments from those who have questioned her decision to have a baby at 62 with some saying she was too old to have more kids.

However, there were many more supportive viewers as countless moms sharing their own experiences of being an older parent.

“There’s nothing wrong with being an older mom,” one commenter said. “I’m so happy for you.”

“I had my kids at 24, 26, 28, 30, 37, 40, 43, and 48,” a second one wrote. “Blessings at every age.”

“I’m pregnant with twins at age 42 and had my 5th child at age 40,” another one has said. “My body says what it can do. I don’t pay attention to anything else.”

“Age doesn’t define us! You go!! Just had my first at 45 (not by choice but by blessing),” another mother shared.

“I’m owning my geriatric pregnancy,” a person has added.

Geriatric pregnancy is a hardly used term for having a baby when you’re 35 or older. Most healthy women who get pregnant after age 35 and even into their 40s have healthy babies.
