According to the results of a Gallup poll, the former FLOTUS Michelle Obama has once again been named the most admired woman, leaving the second place to the current FLOTUS Melania Trump.
Obama ranked number one for the second year in a row by racking up 10% of the votes given by voters who were asked by the Gallup annual survey who was the person they admired the most in 2019.
Second to Michelle Obama was the current FLOTUS Melania Trump who racked up 5% of the votes.
Other influential figures who also appeared on the list of the top ten most admired women in 2019 were Hillary Clinton, Greta Thunberg, and Oprah Winfrey, who all secured 3% of the votes, as well as Queen Elizabeth, Nancy Pelosi, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who all secured 2% of the votes.
Meanwhile, the battle for the first place in the men’s category for the most admired person was much fiercer, whereas the current POTUS Donald Trump and the former POTUS Barack Obama shared the first place.
With political polarity appearing to be more evident than ever, Both Trump and Obama racked up 18 percent of the votes each.
While other men such as Elon Musk, former POTUS Jimmy Carter, and Bill Gates also appeared on the list, none of them received more than 2 percent of the votes.
Trump’s appearance at the top of the ladder of Gallup’s poll results follows after he had ranked second to Obama for two years in a row.
On the list of the top 10 most admired men of 2019 were also Pope Francis, Bernie Sanders, The Dalai Lama, Warren Buffett, and Adam Schiff.
